The four things we need to reply well
01

One-line summary

“We’re DJI launching the X9 in March and want a pre-launch review.” That’s it. Don’t write three paragraphs before the ask.

02

Timeline

When do you need this by, and when can you ship the unit / data / access? Be specific. “ASAP” is not a timeline.

03

Budget range

An honest range. We price in tiers from $450/hr consulting to $4,500 flagship reviews. We won’t quote without one.

04

Decision-maker

Are you the person who can sign off, or do you need to route internally? Knowing up front saves a week of back-and-forth.

Quick answers.

The four we get the most
Q1

Do you accept paid reviews?

No. Editorial coverage is paid by us (we buy retail units at MSRP or borrow from manufacturers with a written no-promised-coverage agreement). Consulting and newsletters are separate paid offerings with their own pages.

Q2

How fast do you reply?

Within 24 hours, usually under 18. We respond to every brief, even if it’s a “not a fit” — you’ll know either way.

Q3

Can you review my product before launch?

Yes, with an embargo that protects your launch date. We’ve run pre-launch coverage for DJI, Autel, and Skydio. Expect a longer turnaround (6-8 weeks) and a higher fee.

Q4

Are you hiring?

Two roles open right now: a part-time tech reviewer based in the EU, and a part-time newsletter editor. Send a writing sample and a one-paragraph “why me” to jobs@dronesera.com.
