The DJI Mavic 4 Pro isn’t just the best drone DJI has ever made — it’s arguably the best camera you can put in the sky under $5,000. After three months of professional use, here’s our comprehensive review.
Camera System
The Mavic 4 Pro features a Four Thirds Hasselblad sensor — the same size found in dedicated mirrorless cameras. This is a first for a consumer drone and immediately sets it apart.

Image Quality
In good light, the Mavic 4 Pro produces images that rival ground-based mirrorless cameras. The 20MP sensor captures remarkable detail, and the HNCS color science produces natural, accurate colors without the oversaturation common in consumer drones.
Low-light performance is where the Four Thirds sensor shows its advantage. At ISO 800-1600, the Mavic 4 Pro retains usable detail where smaller sensors produce mush. Golden hour is spectacular — the wide dynamic range preserves highlights and shadows simultaneously.
Video Quality
5.1K/60fps footage is incredibly sharp, and the ability to slow to 4K/120fps opens creative possibilities. The ProRes recording option (via the DJI PRO SSD) is broadcast-quality and suitable for professional productions.
The 12-bit color in D-Log M provides exceptional grading flexibility. We pushed the footage three stops in post without introducing color banding or significant noise.
